Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Senior Software Systems Engineer to deliver .NET-based solutions in a 100% remote setup for the VA department. You will implement full-stack capabilities, mentor teammates, and participate in Agile ceremonies to drive secure, scalable software releases.

Required five+ years of .Net experience, strong C# skills, and familiarity with Azure/AWS, CI/CD, and REST APIs. U.S. citizenship and public trust level clearance are prerequisites for this W2 role.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of software development using .Net technologies.
• Experience with MVC architecture and .Net Core backend development.
• Strong knowledge of OOP and design patterns.
• RESTful APIs and SQL Server/Entity Framework experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and version control (Git, TFS/TFVC).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and test automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements definition, design, and testing for software systems.
• Develop .Net back-end services and APIs; ensure performance and quality.
