Job summary

Torc is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Camera Models to develop and deploy camera-based perception models for autonomous trucks. You will own end-to-end model development, from data curation through deployment, joining perception, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure robust, production-ready solutions.

The role emphasizes improving generalization, scaling training pipelines, and collaborating across teams to integrate models into the autonomy stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field with 6+ years of experience, OR Master’s with 3+ years, OR PhD with 1+ year.
• Experience developing and deploying deep learning models for computer vision or perception systems.
• Strong programming in Python and PyTorch with production-quality ML code.
• Experience training and evaluating models on large-scale datasets with distributed compute.
• Solid understanding of CNNs, transformers, and multi-task perception models.
• Experience debugging model behavior and improving reliability.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured ML solutions.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to integrate ML into autonomy/robotics stacks.

Responsibilities
