Ideal candidates have 9+ years of SA mining law experience, can draft complex agreements, and thrive in autonomous, remote roles guiding a major mining conglomerate.

Formación

• Admitted Attorney with at least 9 years in mining law and natural resources.
• Deep knowledge of SA mining legislation (MPRDA, NEMA) and related rules.
• Experience advising on exploration, mining rights, and rehabilitation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialized legal advice on mining rights, permits, and licenses.
• Ensure compliance with MPRDA and related legislation.
• Advise on ESG requirements affecting mining operations.
• Draft and review exploration, JV, and mining agreements.
• Represent the company in negotiations with government authorities.
• Conduct due diligence for mining acquisitions and investments.
• Manage community engagement and social license issues.
• Stay updated on changes in mining laws globally.
• Assist in litigation and dispute resolution related to mining.
• Collaborate with technical teams to provide practical legal solutions.
