Job summary

Clients Blackbox, Inc. is seeking a Senior Paid Media Strategist to own client performance across media buying, strategy, messaging, and client communication. You will lead campaigns, write copy and VSL scripts, and develop testing strategies to boost lead generation and appointments.

You will report to the Associate Director of Operations and directly own client relationships, performance, and retention, while collaborating with editors and analytics teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience with Meta advertising responsibility.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts and leading strategy conversations.
• Proven ability to hit performance targets while supporting retention.
• Strong direct-response copywriting skills, including ad copy and scripts.
• Experience developing/testing creative concepts, hooks, angles, and messaging.
• Experience with conversion tracking, pixels, and basic marketing automation.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of client accounts and serve as the primary strategic contact.
• Lead bi-weekly client calls and prepare performance reports.
• Translate performance data into clear recommendations and decisions.
• Build relationships that support retention, renewals, and referrals.
• Proactively identify account risks and opportunities.
• Build, launch, and optimize Meta campaigns focused on leads and appointments.
• Manage budgets, audiences, bid strategies, structure, and testing.
• Monitor performance against cost-per-appointment and KPIs.
• Diagnose underperforming campaigns and adjust where needed.
• Develop structured testing strategies across audiences, offers, and messaging.
• Write direct-response ad copy and VSL scripts for financial services audiences.
• Develop hooks, angles, offers, and variations for testing.
• Use performance data to generate new creative hypotheses and collaborate with editors.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research while maintaining quality and judgment.
• Set up/troubleshoot tracking, pixels, and conversion events.
• Configure Calendly/Zapier integrations and lead-routing workflows.
• Identify and resolve tech issues between ad platforms and client systems.
• Evaluate funnel performance to locate source of problems.
