Job summary

Norstella seeks a Senior Medical Analyst to transform real-world healthcare data into actionable insights for drug development and market access. You will leverage claims, EMR/EHR, and lab data to support clinical and regulatory objectives.

You will collaborate with data science and engineering teams on queries and pipelines, ensure HIPAA privacy, and partner with client-engagement teams to tailor RWD solutions across oncology, rare diseases, and immunology.

Qualifications

Experience with large healthcare databases (claims, EMR/EHR, labs) in academic or industry settings.
Familiarity with epidemiological study design and RWD methodologies.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and AI/data science groups.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Analyze healthcare datasets to identify trends, cohorts, and treatment pathways for Life Sciences clients across therapeutic areas.
Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to develop queries, data pipelines, and processing workflows with AI/ML components.
Partner with engagement managers and directors to align insights with client needs.
Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, ensuring HIPAA/GDPR/FDA RWE compliance.
Support client engagements by scoping discussions and designing custom RWD solutions.
