Job summary

Norstella in the United States (remote) seeks a Senior Medical Analyst to transform real-world data into actionable insights. You will analyze claims, EMR/EHR, and lab data, translate clinical requests into structured queries, and ensure outputs meet research, regulatory, and business goals.

Work with data science and engineering to build pipelines, apply AI/ML methods, and support drug development, market access, and patient care strategies while upholding HIPAA and FDA RWE guidance.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in a life sciences or health field required.
Experience querying large healthcare databases (claims, EMR/EHR, labs).
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA RWE).

Responsibilities

Analyze healthcare datasets to identify trends, cohorts, and pathways across therapeutic areas.
Collaborate with data science and engineering to develop data pipelines and queries, incorporating AI/ML.
Translate clinical requests into structured data queries aligned with client goals.
Ensure data quality and regulatory compliance in deliverables.
