Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in design engineering of electrical distribution equipment, preferably transformers.
• Proficiency in CAD/FEA and transformer design standards (IEEE, ANSI, CSA).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and review mechanical specifications for distribution transformers.
• Develop tank, core-coil frame assemblies, cooling, and lifting features for transformers.
• Perform structural and thermal calculations and verify layouts.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and 3D CAD models.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and quality teams to implement design changes.
