The ideal candidate has 6+ years in automation design, 4+ years with SolidWorks, and strong 3D modeling skills. You’ll collaborate across controls, electrical, and manufacturing to integrate machines on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 6+ years experience designing automated assembly equipment or special‑purpose machinery.
• 4+ years hands‑on SolidWorks design experience including complex assemblies.
• SolidWorks proficiency for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
• Experience creating detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings communicating design intent.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, automation systems, and components.
• Ability to independently manage complex design assignments with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design custom automated assembly machinery using SolidWorks from concept through final design.
• Develop complete mechanical designs, assemblies, and drawings.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles to solve design and automation challenges.
• Evaluate and select components and materials to meet performance and reliability targets.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and manufacturability standards.
• Collaborate with controls, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams for seamless integration.
• Create engineering documentation within project timelines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues in prototypes or existing equipment and implement improvements.
