Job summary

Upstart is seeking a Senior Manager, Performance Marketing for Emerging Products and channels to own and scale paid digital acquisition across SEM, paid social, display, and new channels. This zero-to-one role involves building the HELOC marketing engine from the ground up and partnering with cross-functional teams to launch campaigns and iterate quickly.

You will manage day-to-day media buying, experiment with messaging and audience targeting, and forecast large media budgets while driving

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in performance marketing or digital media buying, with strong SEM focus and experience across paid social or display.
• Deep hands-on expertise in paid search, including keyword strategy, bid management, ad testing, and landing page optimization.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, run experiments, and make data-driven decisions in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale HELOC media buying across SEM, paid social, display, and emerging channels from strategy to optimization.
• Scale HELOC performance marketing engine by establishing channel strategy, testing frameworks, and best practices.
• Drive efficient, incremental customer acquisition by optimizing bids, budgets, audiences, and creatives to hit CPA, ROI, and volume targets.
• Design and run rigorous experimentation programs across keywords, audiences, creatives, and formats to unlock growth opportunities.
• Manage and forecast significant media budgets, balancing growth with efficiency amid market dynamics.
