This is a remote-based position based in the United States or Canada, with a base annual salary of $120,000 to $130,000 USD and additional compensation opportunities such as annual bonus and stock,
Qualifications
- 8+ years in digital sports journalism with management experience.
- Strong NBA knowledge and competitive drive.
- Experience recognizing and editing breaking news.
- Ability to generate story ideas that grow engagement.
- Mentor writers and editors; guide editorial voice.
Responsibilities
- Manage a staff of reporters/editors focusing on news delivery.
- Develop daily NBA story ideas and angles.
- Collaborate with video/audio to expand storytelling reach.
- Coordinate breaking news reporting; ensure accuracy and tone.
- Connect national and beat reporting for coverage.
- Contribute to vision for NBA vertical and expansion.
- Maintain distinctive voice across digital media.
- Edit and publish stories in WordPress.
