Job summary

Energy Solutions is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the planning, administration, and performance of major energy efficiency programs. This role sets strategic direction and drives operational and financial performance for a defined book of business.

The Senior Manager will build organizational capability, shape budgeting, and collaborate across teams to ensure high‑quality execution and sustained growth. Chicago/Midwest focus preferred with a predominantly remote work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years leading and managing complex programs in energy efficiency or related regulated industries.
• 5+ years leading teams and delivering outcomes with stakeholder alignment and performance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and evolve implementation frameworks, operating procedures, and quality standards for scalable program success.
• Partner with Directors and cross-functional leaders to ensure coordinated execution across teams.
• Design and implement program-level operational strategies to improve resource allocation and delivery quality.
• Analyze program performance trends, market conditions, and risks to inform strategic adjustments.
• Develop and review cost estimates, staffing plans, and delivery timelines for client engagements.
• Forecast, monitor, and improve profitability across the solution area with Finance.
• Lead contract management to ensure budgets, performance targets, and savings goals.
• Define and enforce roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for staff.
• Develop and mentor staff and Project Managers through coaching and feedback.
• Engage and advise clients on program performance, risks, and strategic direction.
• Drive business development through proposals, scopes of work, and client presentations.
