Energy Solutions is seeking a Director of Energy Efficiency – Midwest to set strategic direction and oversee a multi-program portfolio with annual revenue over $7M. The role leads a regional organization, drives performance, growth, and client retention, and collaborates across departments to advance innovative solutions in energy efficiency.

We prefer candidates located in the Midwest to West area, with a strong track record in managing complex programs, budgets, and executive-level

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Energy, Public Policy, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Twelve or more years of progressive professional experience, including at least five years of people leadership.
• Five+ years’ experience leading or overseeing energy efficiency program implementation and growth.
• Experience managing complex operational teams delivering client outcomes.
• Proven experience leading client contract negotiations, renewals, and performance discussions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of multiple large-scale energy efficiency programs, meeting goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Guide development and maintenance of software supporting program delivery.
• Monitor performance and budgets, mitigating delivery risks for successful execution.
• Lead regional organization of PMs and professionals, define performance expectations.
• Develop and retain talent, ensuring growth and succession planning.
• Manage workforce planning, recruiting, and workload distribution to match program needs.
• Maintain executive-level client relationships and ensure service excellence.
• Deliver energy-saving targets and KPIs within the program portfolio.
