Qualifications

• Native or bilingual Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication; English fluency required.
• 8+ years in sustainable finance, management consulting, investment banking, or carbon markets; degree or equivalent experience.
• Passionate about conservation and market-based forest financing.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (pricing models, DCF, scenario analyses).
• Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder engagements and senior-level materials.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Latin America Carbon Advisory in managing senior government relationships and translating priorities into workplans and transaction pathways.
• Develop country commercialization strategies, market pathways, pricing, transaction structures, buyer engagement, and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead transaction analytics: buyer engagement, due diligence, term sheet development, and transaction structuring.
• Coordinate delivery across workstreams with government stakeholders, implementing agencies, legal counsel, technical experts, and external advisors.
• Develop decision-support materials and financial analyses for government decision-making.
• Provide market intelligence on carbon markets and policy developments; translate trends into actionable recommendations.
• Support EDF’s organizational effectiveness and inclusivity goals, aligning actions with EDF values.
