University Bank is seeking a Senior Loan Counselor for Mortgage Services. This fully remote role centers on collecting loans past due and counseling borrowers on loss mitigation while maintaining regular communication to reduce default risk.

The candidate will negotiate repayment plans, review investor requirements, and work with internal and investor partners to maximize outcomes. Strong documentation and knowledge of loss mitigation are essential.

Formación

• Experience in collections or default loan servicing is preferred.
• Knowledge of investor and insurer guidelines is helpful.
• Experience with call center systems and telephony platforms is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Initiate proactive contact with delinquent borrowers to reduce default progression.
• Negotiate and restructure repayment arrangements to cure delinquencies and avoid foreclosure, ensuring investor/regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to federal, state, investor, and insurer requirements governing collections and communications.
• Collaborate with internal departments and investor partners to maximize collection efforts and support resolution strategies.
• Develop working knowledge of loss mitigation programs and integration with default operations.
• Assist borrowers in completing financial packages with timely documentation.
