Lumen is the trusted network for the AI‑powered world. We seek a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to design, secure, operate, and maintain Linux‑based infrastructure for a classified federal program. You will manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, and KVM, plus LDAP/AD integration and certificate lifecycle.

This role emphasizes automation with Ansible, Bash, and Python, as well as CI/CD using GitLab. You will work with Nessus, Zabbix, and Elastic Stack for monitoring, and may travel up to 20%

Formación

• Six or more years of Linux infrastructure and security experience.
• Advanced admin experience with Ubuntu and RHEL.
• Strong Bash scripting and CLI troubleshooting.
• Experience designing production infrastructure from the ground up.
• Experience with Ansible and Python.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build secure Linux infrastructure from initial requirements through production implementation and operational handoff.
• Install, configure, administer, patch, harden, and troubleshoot Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
• Administer VMware ESXi, vCenter, and vSphere environments, including hosts, VMs, templates, storage, and networking.
• Build and maintain KVM-based virtualization environments and support evaluation or migration between virtualization platforms.
• Provision servers and integrate them with network, storage, DNS, NTP, directory, monitoring, backup, and security services.
• Create and maintain automation using Ansible, Bash, and Python.
