Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Lead DevOps Engineer to architect platforms, pipelines, and automation enabling scalable AI-ready delivery. You will guide teams across engineering, product, and QA to shape deployment strategies with a focus on security, reliability, and performance.

You will collaborate with executives to modernize infrastructure, leverage emerging tech, and drive continuous improvement while supporting business growth in a remote US environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years experience or Master’s with 8+ years.
• Minimum 5 years software development experience.
• 3 years scripting in a language (BASH).
• Familiar with MV frameworks.
• Advanced Linux administration and programming skills.
• Experience across the full web stack and server optimization.
• Experience with API integration, microservices, and containers.
• Experience deploying and managing production systems on cloud infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of networking at all layers.
• Experience with CI/CD and engineering practices (test-driven development, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of cloud/virtualization tech like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Familiar with CI/CD concepts (CI, CD).
• Powershell or Dotnet pipelines are a plus.
