Job summary

Emory Healthcare seeks a Technical Specialist III in Laboratory Informatics to provide technical leadership and mentorship in developing, implementing, and maintaining complex production information systems.

You will troubleshoot and perform tasks such as provisioning servers, coordinating IPs and VPN access, and enabling vendor remote access. Beaker build/validation experience is preferred, with on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in application systems/administration OR 7 years without a degree.
• Proficiency in at least two scripting languages used in production.

Responsibilities

• Isolate and solve problems within application systems, interfaces, and middleware.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Beaker integration with interface engines.
• Lead programming/projects within a work group as a senior consultant on tech architecture.
• Coordinate network and firewall needs for lab apps and instruments.
• Collaborate with Digital Infrastructure and Lab teams to support needs.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical lab operations.
• Lead validation activities and testing per CAP/CLIA requirements.
