Job summary

Cybotic System seeks a highly experienced software engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation trading systems. This hands-on technical leadership role focuses on building scalable, resilient, and high-performance trading infrastructure.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on software design and development.
Expertise in Java, Python, and Linux.
Deep experience with low latency messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, 29West).
Proficiency in KDB+ or other time-series databases.
Experience with Capital Markets or Brokerage systems, esp. order management.
Strong background in distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven applications.
Advanced knowledge of low latency design patterns and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

Architect and develop distributed, event-driven trading systems optimized for low latency and high throughput.
Design and implement asynchronous processing frameworks and resilient messaging services.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver robust, end-to-end trading workflows.
Lead performance tuning and optimization efforts across the platform.
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Support production and non-production environments, including weekly on-call rotation.
