Job summary

Outskil Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join an agile, high-velocity squad for a dedicated 2-month project. You will own backend service architecture, AWS cloud infrastructure, and critical third-party integrations, delivering production-ready code quickly.

Work closely with one other developer and a Team Lead in a remote-first environment, shaping scalable Java microservices, RESTful APIs, and secure data flows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Java backend development (Spring Boot / Java EE)
• Practical AWS experience (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, SQS/SNS)
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL
• Strong RESTful API design, asynchronous patterns, secure backend practices
• Able to self-manage in asynchronous, remote-first environment

Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture: design, build, and deploy Java microservices.
• Cloud Integration: leverage AWS services to manage and scale backend systems.
• Integrations & Payments: drive API integrations and data flows for third-party services.
• Lean Execution: collaborate in a two-developer pod, ship clean, testable code.
