Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java & Azure Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud-native applications. You will collaborate with product, architecture, security, QE, DevOps, and operations teams to establish strong engineering practices.

In this role, you will develop Java/Spring Boot APIs, modern web capabilities, and Azure integrations, while building containerized workloads and robust CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack web applications.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot API development experience.
• Cloud-native architecture design and Azure familiarity.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps, CI/CD, and security checks.
• Ability to design secure, testable, scalable software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support secure, reliable, and maintainable software aligned with architecture standards.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot APIs, web and PWA capabilities, Azure integrations, data-access components, and containerized workloads.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security checks, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Apply security-by-design practices across authentication, authorization, secrets management, logging, and least-privilege access.
• Mentor engineers, provide code-review feedback, and establish reusable engineering patterns.
• Identify technical risks and collaborate with stakeholders to drive resolution.
