Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java & Azure Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud-native applications. Collaborate with product, architecture, security, QE, DevOps, and operations to establish engineering standards and practices.

You will develop Java/Spring Boot APIs, Azure integrations, and containerized workloads while enhancing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, API development, and cloud-native design.
• Experience with secure, maintainable, and testable software using OO principles and API-first approaches.
• Experience building cloud-native, containerized, and event-driven solutions.
• Strong DevSecOps experience across CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, dependency and security scanning.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, IaC, cloud configuration, secrets management, and environment promotion strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting and observability across applications, integrations, data, pipelines, and cloud platforms.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support secure, reliable software aligned with architecture and standards.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot APIs, web and PWA capabilities, Azure integrations, data-access components, and containerized workloads.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and quality controls, security checks, and deployment processes.
• Apply security-by-design practices across authentication, authorization, secrets management, data, dependencies, logging, and least-privilege access.
• Mentor engineers, provide actionable code-review feedback, and establish reusable engineering patterns and standards.
• Identify technical risks and delivery roadblocks and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve them.
