Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java & Azure Engineer to design, build, and deliver secure, scalable cloud-native applications. You will collaborate across product, architecture, security, QE, DevOps, and operations teams to implement robust engineering practices.

The role emphasizes Java/Spring Boot API development, Azure integrations, CI/CD pipelines, security-by-design, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience across modern web apps, APIs, data stores and distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, API development, and cloud-native design.
• Experience designing secure, maintainable, and testable software using OO principles and design patterns.
• Experience building containerized, event-driven solutions and asynchronous integrations.
• Strong DevSecOps across CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, dependency and security scanning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support secure, reliable software aligned with architecture and standards.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot APIs, web, and Azure integrations, data-access components, and containerized workloads.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, quality controls, and deployment processes.
• Apply security-by-design practices across authentication, authorization, secrets management, data handling, logging, and least privilege.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and establish reusable engineering patterns and standards.
• Identify technical risks early and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve delivery blockers.
