Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java & Azure Engineer to design, develop, and maintain secure cloud-native applications. You will work across product, architecture, security, QE, DevOps, and operations to deliver scalable solutions using Java/Spring Boot and Azure.

You will build APIs, modern web and PWA features, containerized workloads, and robust CI/CD pipelines, while applying security-by-design practices and mentoring engineers on engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack development across modern web applications, APIs, data stores, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on Java, Spring Boot, API development, and cloud-native design.
• Experience designing secure, maintainable, and testable software using object-oriented principles, design patterns, and API-first approaches.
• Experience building cloud-native, containerized, and event-driven solutions, including asynchronous integrations.
• Strong DevSecOps experience across CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, dependency and security scanning, source control, and deployment controls.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, infrastructure as code, cloud configuration, secrets management, and environment promotion strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting and observability skills across applications, integrations, data, pipelines, and cloud platforms.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate effectively across product, architecture, security, QE, DevOps, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support secure, reliable, and maintainable software aligned with approved architecture and engineering standards.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot APIs, modern web and PWA capabilities, Azure integrations, data-access components, and containerized workloads.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and quality controls, security checks, branch protections, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Apply security-by-design practices across authentication, authorization, secrets management, sensitive data, dependencies, logging, and least-privilege access.
• Mentor engineers, provide actionable code-review feedback, and establish reusable engineering patterns and development standards.
• Proactively identify technical risks and delivery roadblocks and collaborate with stakeholders to drive resolution.
