Job summary

enGen is seeking a senior storage engineer to design, implement, and optimize complex IT storage solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. You will monitor capacity, back up data, and support disaster and cyber recovery testing while collaborating with IT, product, analytics and business teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive NetApp and storage experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experiences in one or many of the following tasks: analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions, as well as providing general production support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal defects.
• 5 years of technical problem solving, solution implementation, team/project collaboration
• 5 years of basic computer science concepts and principles, common operating systems, development languages/scripting
• 7 years of experience with managing technology platforms and infrastructure used by our enterprise
• Experience in healthcare or large industries is a plus
• Ability to translate requirements into viable technical implementations
• Experience producing fault-tolerant, efficient, maintainable technical solutions
• Developing governance, quality, and security best practices
• Defining system architectures and exploring feasibility trade-offs
• Understanding cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) and their storage services

Responsibilities

• Analyzing, designing, testing, implementing, and automating technical IT storage solutions.
• Providing general production monitoring, storage capacity management, and storage ecosystem support.
• Assisting in data backup and recovery management, including DR and cyber recovery testing.
• Collaborating on storage architectures to align with enterprise goals and standards.
• Gathering requirements with IT, product, analytics, and business teams for storage solutions.
• Tracking progress against schedules and reporting issues to leadership.
• Meeting scope, dates, and budgets with minimal defects.
• Documenting technical processes and procedures.
• Participating in technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Mentoring associate and intermediate engineers as needed.
• Staying current with storage technologies and best practices.
• Performing technical analysis to support decision-making.
