Job summary
enGen is seeking a remote-based Senior IT Storage Engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable storage solutions. You will work across IT, product, analytics and business teams to implement robust storage architectures and automation, ensuring reliability and performance.
The role emphasizes hands-on storage design, backups, DR testing, and mentoring other engineers in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions with minimal defects.
- 5 years of technical problem solving and collaboration.
- 5 years of CS concepts and OS, development languages/scripting
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, test, implement, and automate technical IT storage solutions.
- Provide production monitoring, storage capacity management, and storage ecosystem support.
- Assist in data backup and recovery management, DR and cyber recovery testing.
- Collaborate on storage architectures to align with enterprise goals and standards.
- Gather requirements with IT, product, analytics and business teams to deliver storage solutions.
- Monitor progress against schedules and report issues to leadership.
- Document technical processes and participate in reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior engineers as needed.
