Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an experienced storage solutions engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise storage across cloud and on-premise environments. You will collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to deliver scalable storage architectures and reliable backup/recovery strategies.

The role requires strong problem-solving, cross-team communication, and hands-on expertise with NetApp and cloud storage services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Analyzing, designing, testing, implementing, and automating technical IT storage solutions.
Providing general production monitoring, storage capacity management, and storage ecosystem support.
Assisting in data backup and recovery management along with disaster recovery testing and activities.
Collaborating on the design and implementation of storage architectures to align with enterprise goals.
Gathering requirements from stakeholders and delivering storage solutions meeting organizational needs.
Monitoring work against production schedules and reporting progress to leadership.
Documenting technical processes and procedures.
Mentoring junior engineers as needed.
Translating requirements into viable technical implementations.
Developing governance, quality, and security best practices.
