Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a skilled storage systems professional to design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT storage solutions. You will work across IT, product, analytics and business teams to translate requirements into robust storage architectures aligning with enterprise goals.

You will contribute to data backup, DR and cyber recovery testing, production monitoring, and guiding junior engineers. A strong foundation in CS concepts, operating systems, and scripting is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions.
• 5+ years of technical problem solving, solution implementation, team/project collaboration.
• 5+ years of basic computer science concepts, operating systems, development languages.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing, designing, testing, implementing, and automating technical IT storage solutions.
• Providing general production monitoring, storage capacity management, and storage ecosystem support.
• Assisting in data backup and recovery management with DR and cyber recovery testing.
• Collaborating on storage architectures to align with enterprise goals and standards.
• Collaborating with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements.
• Monitoring progress against production schedules and reporting issues to leadership.
• Documenting technical processes and procedures.
• Mentoring associate and intermediate engineers as needed.
• Performing technical analysis and providing insights for decisions.
