Job summary

Propeller Industries is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager focused on inventory accounting to deliver client services across consumer brands and e-commerce. You will manage a small accounting team, oversee month-end close, and help select and implement inventory management systems.

The ideal candidate has strong cost and inventory accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a track record of improving processes.

Qualifications

• 7 years operational accounting experience.
• Experience directly building, managing and developing a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of consulting business model and tools in multi-client environment.
• Experience with full close-cycle accounting.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (IMS).
• CPA and/or Big-4 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1-3 team members and mentor their career growth.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new staff.
• Oversee weekly and monthly accounting and bookkeeping for clients.
• Manage month-end close and consolidations for portfolios of clients.
• Develop and implement scalable accounting processes with strong controls.
• Train client staff on inventory accounting best practices.
