Job summary

Pragmatic Leaders is seeking a Sr Instructional Designer for a fully remote role serving learners nationwide. The position focuses on designing and developing engaging learning experiences that improve knowledge, skills, and competencies.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, define clear learning objectives, and create content aligned to end goals. Strong HTML basics, Flash knowledge, and proficiency with design tools are expected to deliver high-quality courses.

Qualifications

Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
Basic HTML knowledge and familiarity with Flash.
Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one LMS.
Visual design skills and ability to storyboard.

Responsibilities

Create engaging learning activities and compelling content to enhance retention.
Work with subject matter experts and identify training needs.
Define instructional end goals and create matching content.
Visualize graphics, UI, and the finished product.
Conduct instructional research on learners and contexts.
Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
Provide exercises and activities that enhance learning.
Create supporting media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games).
Decide on criteria to judge learner performance and develop assessments.
Maintain project documentation and course folders.
