Job summary

Trace3 is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Automation Architect to drive modernization of Windows Server, hybrid infrastructure, and automation frameworks. You will design, build, and lead Infrastructure-as-Code solutions across compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud.

You will balance hands-on engineering with strategic architecture, leading discussions with senior management and client teams to deliver scalable, outcome-driven infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Windows Server engineering experience (2019/2025 preferred).
• PowerShell development and automation framework creation.
• Python for infrastructure automation and tooling.
• Hands-on with Ansible, Terraform, Harness, and IaC.
• Experience designing and modernizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Refactoring legacy automation, improving docs and standards.
• Strong AD/GP, SCCM/MECM, CIS security baselines, and hardening.
• Automation integration with VMware vSphere 8/9.
• Leadership in architecture reviews and executive workshops.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization of Windows Server and hybrid infrastructure via automation and IaC.
• Remediate legacy automation frameworks, improving maintainability and efficiency.
• Design, develop, and implement automation using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Harness, and CI/CD tooling.
• Architect Windows Server lifecycle management including deployment, config, patching, and hardening.
• Lead technical discussions with senior stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions.
• Provide senior engineering support across Windows, Linux, virtualization, cloud, and infra platforms.
• Establish engineering standards, docs, and best practices to reduce debt.
• Partner with client teams to define modernization roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
