Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated Azure infrastructure and Windows endpoint solutions. You will lead enterprise image engineering, vulnerability remediation, and Windows 11 migration programs while leveraging modern DevOps and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Azure infrastructure engineering (Azure Portal, Azure CLI, ARM Templates, Azure VMs, Managed Images, Image Builder)
• Expert-level experience in Azure VM Engineering and image pipelines
• 6+ years with Ansible, PowerShell, PSADT, Jinja2, and YAML for automation
• Strong GitLab CI/CD experience with MR workflows, branching strategies, and artifact management
• Experience with Windows 10/11 engineering, Sysprep, hardening, patching, and Windows Update Services
• Hands-on vulnerability management, security scans, and compliance initiatives (Defender, Tanium, Nessus, Wiz, Zscaler, CyberArk)
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 apps, and Oracle Client deployments
• Experience supporting large Windows 11 migration programs in Azure environments
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated Windows image deployment pipelines
• Lead Azure VM and Image Engineering activities for enterprise environments
• Engineer Windows 10/11 images and lifecycle management
• Develop automation using Ansible, PowerShell, PSADT, ARM, Jinja2, and YAML
• Administer and optimize Azure infrastructure components and services
• Build and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and governance
• Conduct security scans, remediation, and patch management with Defender, Tanium, Nessus, Wiz, Zscaler, CyberArk
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 deployments
• Monitor health and performance with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Splunk
• Support large-scale Windows 11 migrations in Azure while complying with standards
