Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a senior cyber security professional to join its global information security team. You will lead incident response for cloud and on-premises environments, conducting forensics and delivering actionable mitigation guidance.

You will be the senior technical member of the incident response group, shaping response plans, producing detailed reports, and protecting the organization’s assets against evolving threats.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of security in cloud-agnostic environments.
• Ability to conduct forensic and incident response investigations.
• Experience analyzing security events for anomalous activity.
• Ability to develop and implement security improvement programs.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and threat analysis.
• Experience navigating Cloud and Web-based environments.
• Certifications such as CCFE, GCFE, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, ISACA or similar

Responsibilities

• Improve resilience of security protections and processes to protect assets, data, and IT services.
• Develop and execute incident response plans; lead full lifecycle investigations.
• Produce comprehensive incident reports and threat intelligence to detect high-confidence threats.
• Analyze and tune security controls; define remediation rules and script changes.
• Review tools and processes to strengthen capabilities and identify gaps.
• Lead analysis of security events for anomalies and coordinate actions to safeguard assets.
