AC Disaster Consulting is seeking a Senior Grants & Finance Advisor to support the Harris County Flood Control District finance team. This temporary, hourly role focuses on grant accounting management, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with federal grant requirements.

Travel to Houston-area client sites will be required on occasion. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in grant finance and accounting, with strong analytical and communication skills and proficiency in Word and

Competenze

In-depth knowledge of grant management and financial management principles.
Experience evaluating or improving financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and workflows.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel for reporting and analytics.

Mansioni

Review grant accounting policies, procedures, workflows, internal controls and financial management practices.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, compliance risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and improve SOPs, desk procedures, internal controls, reconciliation and QA/QC tools.
Provide guidance on grant accounting, allowable costs, documentation, reconciliations and audits.
Assess practices against 2 CFR Part 200 and other federal grant requirements.
Collaborate with leadership to develop practical recommendations and implementation plans.
Facilitate meetings with leadership, finance staff, auditors, and stakeholders.
