Job summary

Urrly, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant specialized in government-contract accounting to support a rapidly growing GovCon practice.

You will work with Accounting Managers and Controllers to ensure accurate books, reliable month-end closes, and clear project reporting for government-contractor clients. Requirements include 5+ years in progressive accounting with government-contract exposure, strong GAAP, FAR, DCAA, and CAS knowledge, and experience with Unanet, QuickBooks or Deltek Costpoint.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with government-contract exposure.
• Hands-on GAAP, FAR, DCAA, and CAS knowledge.
• U.S. citizenship, as required by client contracts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and close packages.
• Handle payroll, labor distribution, AP/AR, project setup, and day-to-day accounting.
• Prepare job-cost and management reports; explain results and answer clients’ technical questions.
• Apply GAAP and government-contract accounting requirements; support audit workpapers and special projects.
• Manage deadlines across engagements and help improve how the work gets done.
