Job summary

Urrly is looking for a Senior Accountant in Government Contract Accounting to support government-contractor clients and strengthen delivery reliability across engagements.

You will own month-end close, cost reporting, and compliance with GAAP, FAR, DCAA, and CAS while collaborating with Accounting Managers and Controllers. This fully remote role offers a base of $95,000–$115,000 and a 5–10% target bonus, with room to grow in a fast-growing practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with government-contract exposure.
• GAAP, FAR, DCAA, and CAS knowledge including cost allowability.
• Experience with Unanet, QuickBooks, Deltek Costpoint, or a comparable accounting system.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent related experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and close packages.
• Handle payroll, labor distribution, AP/AR, project setup, and day-to-day accounting.
• Prepare job-cost and management reports; explain results and answer clients’ technical questions.
• Apply GAAP and government-contract accounting requirements; support audit workpapers and special projects.
• Manage deadlines across engagements and help improve how the work gets done.
