Job summary

Mirantis is seeking a Senior Golang Software Engineer, Infrastructure, to design and implement the control plane for GPU-backed, bare-metal provisioning. This remote-US role focuses on building APIs, provisioning flows, and multi-tenant orchestration within a Kubernetes-centric platform.

You will own lifecycle workflows, from API surfaces to provisioning and cluster assembly, while collaborating across teams to ensure reliability and scalability in production environments.

Qualifications

• Experience designing RESTful APIs or gRPC services with versioning and gateway patterns.
• Proficiency in Go and Kubernetes primitives.
• Experience with bare-metal provisioning including BMC/Redfish, PXE/iPXE, image management and hardware inspection.
• Background in asynchronous, long-running workflows (Temporal) with eventual consistency.
• Strong API design with awareness of multi-tenancy.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain REST and gRPC APIs for bare-metal lifecycle, MachineType definitions, and cluster CRUD operations.
• Develop asynchronous workflows for server enrollment, OS provisioning, and cluster bring-up.
• Implement consoles and interfaces to visualize hardware inventory, provisioning progress, and cluster health.
• Design error-handling models, idempotency guarantees, and reconciliation loops for long-running provisioning operations.
• Work with Kubernetes primitives and controller/reconciler patterns; integrate with k0rdent, Metal3, and Cluster API to translate API calls into infrastructure actions.
