Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior GIS Developer to lead the production of federal species range maps for a high-priority data integration program. You will produce complete marine and anadromous range maps in full compliance with the FWS Range Mapping SOP, coordinating iterative review cycles with government SMEs and obtaining formal sign-off.

Qualifications

Extensive GIS experience focused on species range mapping.
Experience with FWS Range Mapping SOP or similar standards.
Strong QA documentation for geospatial deliverables.

Responsibilities

Lead production of comprehensive marine and anadromous range maps per SOP.
Review the SOP at project kickoff and coordinate sign-off.
Aggregate and normalize spatial data from cloud data platforms.
Validate spatial intersects against authoritative layers and habitat overlays.
Facilitate iterative map reviews with FWS and NOAA SMEs.
Produce QA documentation and secure government sign-off.
Coordinate sign-off and handoff for range map deliverables.
