Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst - II for a remote, U.S. based role in the Veterans Affairs domain.

The position requires extensive experience in Agile/SAFe environments, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to lead requirements capture and documentation for software development teams. Responsibilities include collaborating with users, IT, and leadership to elaborate requirements in ALM tools, managing backlogs, and ensuring traceability

Qualifications

Must have strong background in software development and SAFe methodologies.
Excellent written and spoken communication to convey complex topics to diverse audiences.
Excellent attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience conducting independent research to support resolution of complex questions.
Advanced experience with MS Office, including Excel.
Expertise with JIRA tools.
Experience in large, Agile software development or data integration projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Document and elaborate requirements with business users, IT, and leadership in an ALM tool.
Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management.
Conduct user interviews and develop business process models and specifications.
Document requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
Coordinate with Systems Engineers to assess impact on technical solutions.
Write and deliver project documents to the client and manage risk.
