Job summary

Clasp is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Lending team. You will design, build, and maintain features across the loan origination platform, and develop internal tooling to empower the team with data, reports, and program configuration.

You’ll work with Python, TypeScript, Django, React, and cloud-native deployments in a fast-paced startup, using AI to move faster while upholding high standards of quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python/TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience building internal tooling for fintech or regulated domains.
• AI-native in workflow with coding tools (Copilot, Claude, etc.).
• Familiarity with Django and React and full-stack features.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features across the loan origination platform.
• Build internal tooling to manage loans, programs, reports.
• Participate in architecture decisions and code reviews.
• Apply AI-assisted development to scale impact and ship higher-quality software faster.
• Collaborate with compliance to implement regulatory requirements (TILA, ECOA, etc.).
• Develop data pipelines powering credit modeling and analytics.
• Engage with institutional stakeholders to understand integration needs.
• Contribute to culture of continuous learning and high standards.
