Scratch Financial is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to build and scale our lending platform. You will design both backend and frontend solutions, write high-quality code, and contribute to testing and architecture decisions.

Experience with Node.js/TypeScript, React, and RESTful APIs is required. A remote-first role with an office in Pasadena offers flexibility, competitive compensation, and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend with Node.js + TypeScript and RESTful APIs.
• Frontend with React; HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• SQL and NoSQL databases knowledge.
• Experience with monorepos and multiple backend services.
• Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes a plus.
• Agile/Scrum experience; startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement systems within Scratch ecosystem, including back-end and front-end.
• Write clean, maintainable code for backend services and front-end components.
• Ensure end-to-end testing and code quality.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprints, code reviews.
• Own incident response and post-mortems.
• Stay current on best practices and AI-assisted development.
• Translate product requirements into working code.
