Job summary

Humana seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build and enhance the UI/UX of the Enterprise Data Governance Platform and Control Plane. You will design scalable applications integrating data governance, metadata, and analytics across the enterprise, shaping architecture for a platform used organization-wide.

This role covers front-end, back-end, database integrations, and DevOps practices, with opportunities to influence department strategy and work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in application development or full-stack engineering (ideally 8+).
• 1+ year of experience developing applications with Go and/or Python (ideally 2+).
• Experience developing production web applications.
• Able to evaluate challenges and propose practical solutions.
• Experience utilizing AI and AI coding tools to accelerate development.
• Collaborative in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
• This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement of the Information Marketplace as a core enterprise platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications for the Information Marketplace platform.
• Build modern front-end interfaces using React, TypeScript, and state management frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and related technologies.
• Translate business and technical requirements into well-designed, maintainable software solutions.
• Contribute to the architecture of microservices, APIs, and UI frameworks focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
• Integrate with enterprise platforms including metadata services, APIs, and third-party tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues; identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and usability.
• Participate in code reviews and help establish development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, data engineers, and governance teams to deliver new capabilities.
• Contribute to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automated testing.
• Stay current with modern development frameworks, tools, and engineering practices.
