Job summary

CMiT is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and scale secure cloud-native applications for federal missions. You will work with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and AWS, delivering APIs, microservices, and event-driven workflows.

The role emphasizes DevOps, IaC, and AI-assisted development for high-impact projects. This fully remote position requires strong experience in full-stack development, AWS, PostgreSQL, and containerized deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on full-stack development.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or Python.
• Hands-on AWS development experience.
• PostgreSQL and API integration experience.
• GitLab CI/CD and Agile delivery experience.
• Docker and containerized deployments in ECS/EKS.
• Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust and TSA clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build modern web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and scalable full-stack patterns.
• Design secure AWS cloud solutions using Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, S3, and relational databases.
• Create APIs, microservices, and event-driven workflows to improve mission delivery.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or similar.
• Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes with GitLab CI/CD.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding and testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Improve performance, security, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
