Job summary

CMiT is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (AWS) to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications supporting federal missions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing solutions in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Node.js and React, strong AWS experience, and a track record of solving complex problems. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with Node.js
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with React
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including:
• AWS Lambda
• DynamoDB
• Amazon S3
• EventBridge
• Kinesis
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with AWS cloud tools and services
• Minimum 1 year of experience writing SQL and working with relational databases
• Strong understanding of complex business processes and the systems that support them
• Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Passion for solving complex software challenges and delivering high-quality solutions
