Job summary

McFadyen Digital is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a strong backend focus for a 3–4 month remote engagement. You’ll design and build composable commerce services on commercetools and enable Mirakl dropship flows, integrating buyer and seller experiences in a headless setup.

The role is hands‑on, with API design, production-grade code, and optional frontend contributions in React/Node. Start is September 2026, remote across US/LATAM/Canada with overlap in US business hours.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering with a backend focus in production eCommerce.
• Hands-on experience with commercetools APIs, extensions, subscriptions and headless patterns.
• Experience implementing Mirakl dropship model: seller/catalog/offer ingestion and order workflows.
• Strong integration skills: REST, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven architecture.
• Frontend capability (React/TypeScript/JavaScript) to contribute UI when needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering catalog, cart, checkout, and order flows.
• Configure Mirakl dropship capabilities and integrate with commercetools and downstream systems.
• Develop robust integrations between commercetools, Mirakl, and third‑party systems.
• Deliver production‑ready code with tests, error handling, logging, and docs.
• Collaborate with architects and frontend engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
