Job summary

Commerce is seeking a Software Engineer II - Engineering Services (Full Stack) for a remote/hybrid US-based role. You will design, build, and maintain full-stack apps and data migration projects within the BigCommerce App Marketplace, focusing on scalable multi-tenant solutions.

You will work with Node/TypeScript and PHP backend, React frontend, and integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and OAuth flows. Strong collaboration and end-to-end ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with multi-tenant architectures and scalable apps.
• Background in backend (Node/TypeScript or PHP) and frontend (React/Next.js).
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs (REST/GraphQL) and OAuth.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack single-click apps for the BigCommerce App Marketplace.
• Integrate with BigCommerce APIs, webhooks, and OAuth install flows.
• Write performant, well-tested code with clear maintainability.
• Contribute to data migration projects and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with PMs and solutions architects to translate merchant needs into designs.
