Job summary

Spreetail is seeking a Senior Payables Analyst - Freight to join our Accounting team in a remote US-capable role. You will own freight invoice processing, accruals, and reconciliation, partnering with Transportation, Logistics, Treasury, and FP&A to ensure accurate cost recording.

The role emphasizes process design, close activities, reporting, and stakeholder management in a fast-growth environment. 3–5+ years in accounting and strong Excel/SQL skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business-related field is preferred.
• 3–5+ years of accounting/finance experience with GAAP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with analytics tools; SQL is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and process-improvement mindset.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional process design and continuous improvement to scale freight payables.
• Own month-end close activities and variance analysis; drive efficiencies.
• Monitor credits and funds with Treasury and support cash optimization.
• Design reporting, metrics, and insights to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
• Facilitate cross-functional issue resolution with clear communication and partnerships.
