Job summary

WhatJobs Direct is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair complex equipment remotely from anywhere in South Africa, supporting customers across industries to ensure peak performance and longevity of product lines.

You bring at least five years of field service experience, solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software systems, and excellent remote communication. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a technical field service or maintenance role.
• Proficient with electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Certified or degreed in a related field is advantageous.
• Ability to troubleshoot remotely and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment remotely.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance at client sites.
• Provide remote technical support to end-users and junior technicians.
• Document activities in the CRM system.
• Coordinate with local teams for on-site visits when needed.
• Develop remote training sessions for customers.
• Stay updated on product updates and safety protocols.
