Job summary

United Therapeutics Corporation seeks a strategic, field-based HEOR leader who translates clinical, economic, and real-world data into payer-driven insights. You will coach a team of HEOR Liaisons, manage priority payer relationships, and shape evidence strategies for both pipeline and commercialized therapies.

You will partner with Market Access and Medical Affairs to develop HCEI materials, payer value propositions, and strategic plans, while ensuring rigorous scientific dialogue with U.S.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, epidemiology, health services research, or related field.
  • PharmD, PhD, or MD with 7+ years of HEOR/medical affairs experience.
  • 3+ years of field-based HEOR experience with leadership in the role.
  • Strong understanding of study design, methodology, data analysis, and HEOR data interpretation.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills; able to guide senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with U.S. payers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret HEOR and clinical data.
  • Relationship-building inside and outside the company.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Driver’s license valid in-state.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and evaluate field-based HEOR Liaisons; drive strategic pull-through of payer strategies.
  • Maintain a personal panel of priority U.S. payer accounts; engage in high-quality scientific dialogue about products and pipeline assets.
  • Partner with market access stakeholders; track KPIs and adjust field activities as needed.
  • Represent the company at Medicaid meetings and conferences; present data and foster payer relationships.
  • Attend meetings with Market Access directors to model best-in-class field engagement.
  • Serve as a resource for internal stakeholders on HEOR data and landscape.
  • Lead collection, synthesis, and reporting of U.S. payer insights to guide internal planning.
  • Own and contribute to HEOR strategic/tactical plans for products in development and on market.
  • Develop payer value propositions and HCEI materials; incorporate new information as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Medical Information on dossiers to ensure HEOR data is included in medical materials.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development plans with HEOR leadership and Market Access.
  • Contribute to strategic planning activities within Global Medical Affairs.
  • Ensure field work aligns with UT’s mission and behaviors.
  • Address unsolicited HEOR questions with scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor competitor HEOR strategies and communicate insights.
  • Interview and hire HEOR personnel as needed; support leadership in performance management.
  • Partner with HEOR leadership on oversight of team performance and field visits.
