Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to define secure, scalable cloud-native architectures for critical financial services platforms operating in FedRAMP High government cloud.

You will collaborate across engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, compliance, and business stakeholders to modernize platforms, ensure compliance, and drive production readiness with measurable resilience and performance. Remote in the US with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture roles.
• Strong experience designing and delivering solutions within regulated financial services environments, including banking, securities servicing, capital markets, trust, custody, or transfer agency platforms.
• Expertise with Azure Government and cloud-native architecture principles, including APIs, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise application platforms such as .NET or Java and modern integration architectures.
• Strong knowledge of FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53 controls, secure SDLC practices, identity and access management, and cloud security frameworks.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and driving scalability, resiliency, observability, and operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud-native, highly available, and secure architectures supporting financial services platforms, transfer agency operations, securities processing, reporting, and client integrations.
• Define enterprise architecture standards for APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, data management, integration patterns, and security controls.
• Partner with cybersecurity and DevSecOps teams to align solutions with FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, identity and access management, encryption, audit logging, and continuous monitoring requirements.
• Review and govern solution designs to ensure scalability, resiliency, performance, operational readiness, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead architecture modernization efforts and provide guidance on technical strategy, risk management, and production support models.
