Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our remediation practice, delivering high-quality permitting, compliance, and remediation projects for railroad and industrial clients nationwide. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and contribute to business development with proposals and client interactions.

Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm.
• Experience working with railroad clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication; entrepreneurial mindset.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor and develop a project team.
• Familiarity with railroad regulatory programs across northeastern and midwestern states.
• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour and Railway Worker safety training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and establish relationships with clients to procure and manage scope, schedule, budget, and delivery of permitting, compliance, remediation and construction projects.
• Lead the delivery of projects including technical advice, planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services.
• Support business development with proposals, client interviews and marketing activities.
• Supervise the projects with Woodard & Curran staff and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Lead technical tasks and be prepared for emergency response opportunities.
• Develop site investigation plans, evaluate remediation alternatives, review construction plans and related documentation.
• Coordinate management of subcontractors, cost estimating, and scope, schedule, and budget for project tasks.
• Prepare reports and interact with project staff, clients and regulatory agencies.
